I own a 4 year old 1955-S805 Satellite Toshiba notebook and all of a sudden the touchpad stop working along with the right/left buttons. I haven't recently install no new software. I tried to uninstall the driver and that didn't work. I reverted my hard drive to an earlier time, that didn't work. It shows that the device is enabled and working properly, but it's not. Right now I am using a USB mouse, which seems to be working. I don't know what else to do. Do you?

Hopefully the touch pad hasn't failed. One way to check that somehow it was disabled is to click on Start, the Control Panel. See if there is a Touch Pad listed, or check under Mouse, see if it was disabled, usually unchecking it works.

Hi....hello there.. I guess you might have got driver cd with ur lptp. If u have, then uninstal ur touchpad driver from device manager and reinstall it using driver cd. If u have nt,then download d driver from ur manufactrer's support website and then install it. Be carefull while process, because when u will uninstall d driver, touch pad wont work! So use extrnl mouse or u should knw,how to operate using keyboard.. Hope this will help u a little bit.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
