I am in special ed, but am in gifted. I am wondering if it is considered dishonest to not put the fact that i had an IEP on a resume applying for a job. I have been turned down because of my status from another job, is that discrimination?
Thank y'all so much! can u tell i'm from the midwest?

You weren't offered a job because you're gifted? That doesn't sound right, unless you're applying for an extremely low level job and they're afraid that you're too smart and wouldn't stay with it.

Don't put your IEP on your resume, but you can still let your potential employer know that you're bright. When you list your high school diploma and graduation date on your resume make sure you make a notation that you took advanced, honors, or AP classes.

Employers are not required to follow the modifications and accommodations on your IEP - in fact, many may not even know what an IEP is, so there's no reason to put it on the resume.
