hmm.. good question, yes and no.
If an architect thinks he is CEO of Microsoft, it is not true.
Just by thinking this architect can't become CEO of Microsoft.
If this is true then everyone will think what he or she thinks is the best for him and her, and if it just comes true by thinking then everyone will be rich, happy and powerful in a second's time !
But this is not true.
However, positive thinking and thinking in general plays a good part in making one's attitude and direct one's efforts in achieving what he or she wants to.
So if a school boy keeps thinking that he wants to become a doctor then what can happen is -
His subconscious mind will take this message and direct him to study well and he can gradually study medical courses and actually become a doctor.
But this can happen.
It is not certain that THIS WILL ALWAYS HAPPEN.
I think I have explained clearly what I wanted to say to answer this question.
Thanks genie for asking this question.
I can express myself in writing a little more to answer your curious question.
I appreciate it.
Take care,
Smartie

What you quoted is a biblical phrase that can come true if practiced properly.First of all the words "thinketh in his heart" can be translated "thinks with emotion or conviction".That will insure that the thoughts will repeat with passion and that will convince the subconscious mind to accept them and take action on them. When people repeatedly think any thought such as "I'm a loser" and do so with emotional conviction, their subconscious minds accept it as a command to carry out and it accordingly changes mental and sometimes even physical behavior to match the thoughts the conscious mind repeatedly has given it.That's why it is so essential that people and especially those in training and educational capacities not engage in negative or critical statements but instead stick with positive and supportive words which will result in improved behavior directed by a positively instructed subconscious mind.

In a sense. But we are actually pure, eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. WE are not these bodies, minds, jobs, races, color, religions, etc. This world is called Maya or illusion and is full of misery and it is temporary. If one wants to clear their consciousness and become who they actually are they should purify the mind by chanting the maha mantra (the Great Mantra for deliverance form illusion and suffering.)
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Say it loud enough to hear each syllable and at least 108 times (Get some mantra beads for counting) for complete info on this writ me for the website. go to stephen-knapp.c for more info on who we really are and our purpose in life and universal truths
