My vows would be somewhat different.
Dear family and freinds we are gathered here today to joyfully acknowledge the commitment of ____ and _____. Let us join in our love and support of ____ and _____ as we bless the committed couple for there everlasting happiness.
The commitment of there love is one of the most important desicions two people will make in their lives. The bond of love offers the greatest challenge to overcome. They committ to share all life has to offer the good times and the bad with patience and understanding. It is the couple who preserves and demonstrates unrelenting patience and faith who obtains the highest form of happiness within their bond.
A strong bond is dependent upon many factors. Beyond the love and respect you share for one another. There must be a strong sense of committment and loyalty that bonds you. And above all a true freindship and willingness to communicate with one another. Your love for each other the will grow deeper with the passing of each day. But, genuine liking for each other the willingness to accept each other's strong and weak points with understanding and respect. It is the foundation for a strong bond.
The vows which you are about to exchange serve as a verbal representation of the love you pledge to each other. For it is not the words you will speak today which will bond you together as one. It is the inner sense of love and committment that each of you feels within your soul.
____ and ____ do you take ____ and _____ to be you partner in life? Will you love her/him comfort her/him honor her/him and respect her/him. Will you share all life has to offer your hopes dreams your acheivements and dissappointments with her/him from this day forward? I will.
The committment ring is an unbroken circle which symbolizes unending and everlasting love and is a visable symbol which represents your inner commitment to one another. May your life be blessed with everlasting happiness.
As I place this ring upon your hand may our seperate lifes become one as we commit our everlasting love to one another.
With the blessings of all the family and freinds who are present under the love and support of all of us I now pronounce you partners in life. You may kiss.
The ceromony may end with the officiant saying: May I present to you _____ and ____ together as one.

my wedding vows would speak from my heart. I would speak about the past, present and future. I would speak about the times I felt lonely and desired love and when I found it and how i felt and are future together.
I doubt if I'd ever get legally married though, I'd have to find a good strong man who wants me as his "wife" first. lol.

I do not see marriage as producing obligations, (promises to love honor and obey) but rather as providing opportunities . . .
. . . opportunities for growth, for full Self-expression, for lifting your lives to their highest potential, for healing every false thought or small idea you ever had about yourself, and for ultimate reunion with God through the communion of two souls . . .
. . . that this is truly a Holy Communion . . . a journey through life with one you love as an equal partner, sharing equally both the authority and the responsibilities inherent in any partnership, bearing equally what burdens there be, basking equally in the glories.
Or maybe Im just Pissin' in the wind.........
