Hi! Can anyone tell me what's the latest date you can post a Christmas card to the USA for it to reach in time for Christmas. The love of my life will be spending it there on business and won't be home til the 27th. I want to sent her a card to cheer her (and me !) up. Can i sent it recorded delivery to ensure safe delivery? Someone at work told me it's not always guaranteed. She's in Atlanta Georgia by the way, if you have to take time zones or whatever into account. Thanks.

Standard mail - even airmail is difficult to predict. I strongly recommend using Federal Express (FedEx) - a courier service who specialise in delivering to the US. They will give you a tracking number and you can track delivery on-line. Often within 24 hrs. Easiest way to use them is find a company who use them regularly and ask them nicely to help, but I'm sure you can go to a depot and do it yourself. Good luck.

As far as I know the last posting date for airmail to the USA from the UK is Monday December 11th. I would check at the post office regarding recorded, etc., as this would be more secure and just a little extra on top.
