No, you don't have to let the engine warm up. Just don't get in the pedal before it does, keep it slow.

yes and no
it depends
it depends on if it is extremely cold or not
if it is just moderately cold, at or maye a little below freezing then you should let it run a couple or few minutes ot get things circulating real good,
but if its really crazy cold then you will want ot let it warm up til the temp guage at least just starts to move
and the most important thing is actually not warming it up before driving but it is actually to make sure that you driv eit enough ot fully warm it up to normal operating temp for a god amount of time and to at all possible avoid very short trips,
when it is cold
not doing so is the very worst thing for an engine other than really high temperatures
the reason why is due to moisture in the oil not cooking out of the oil completely and remaining in the oil only to get milky in the oil and collect and turn into corrosive acid junk and in which will cause damage to the engine over time
if you remove the oil cap and see white slimy stuff on it then you have water/moisture in your oil and all inside the engine real bad and this is not good, change the oil and drive the car for a long period of time to get it nice and warm and get the moisture out of it ASAP
each vehicle is different just like ppl are different from each other, some vehicles will start up and drive away immediately or almost immediately, and others take a while
if it doesnt want to go when its cold then do not force it to, this is hard on the engine and transmission parts, as they are too cold to operate properly
i dont feel like getting real technical about this aspect here right now, just trust me on this
good luck

it is always good to give the engine a few seconds to run before driving off. this gives the chance for the oil at the bottom of the pan a chance to get to the top end of the engine. usually in very cold weather you can run for about a minute; normal weather about 30 seconds or so. it dont have to be for like 5 minutes or anything. most manual will say the best way to go easy on your engine is to do a 30 - 45 second warmup, then dont do over 45 for the next 3 - 5 miles.

Give it a second to idle down. At normal temperatures, 30 seconds is plenty (do up seatbelt, adjust mirrors, go!)
Winter? Yeah you better.. give it a few minutes to get the oil moving freely and away you go! Most newer cars warm up while driving anyway, and you are doing it more harm to let it idle for 20 min..
Frigid cold? Let it sit at least until the needle moves. You heard that chugging when it turned over... let it run.

Your manual should tell you if you ought to. The manual of my Hyundai Accent says that it is unnecessary to warm up the car before driving; just start the car and go whenever you're ready. I think that, today, new cars don't have to be warmed up.

relies upon on the elements, if chilly take a couple of minutes to warmth the engine so that you may use the defrost and force appropriately. different situations, in simple terms take a minute to allow the plugs arise to temp. and the oil to thoroughly move and as a lot as stress, then move. lengthy idle situations in simple terms construct sludge, it rather is undesirable for an engine plus the waste of gasoline. In sturdy climate is proper to absolutely get going after below a minute, do exactly not Rev up the engine or move complete speed until eventually the engine is as a lot as temperature so your computing gadget has each and every of the mandatory training it desires to attend on your gasoline and timing and so on.

No. VW and Audi says to just start it and drive it. With modern synthetic oils all you are doing is burning fuel. Different with diesels though, they need to warm up before the engines work properly, much worse than gas engines.

Depend on your driving habbit. If you move off slowly first, it's not necessary to warm up your car.
