No, when Hardcore Holly got cut during his match with Rob Van Dam it was accidental. They did not plan on that to happen. He cut his back on the metal part of the table accidently.

No, it was a accident, stuff like that will happen from time to time, I remember a match Vince McMahon was in, someone hit him with a chair and the sharp part actually sliced his head open and he bled a lot so soon, the match lasted 5-7 minutes only, another time was Royal Rumble 2000, Mick Foley backdropped HHH into a wooden pallet, and a piece was sticking out and the piece went through HHH's calf and was stuck in there, that was messy. So yes things like that do happen and its all real.

Nope. When R.V.D. threw him over the rope and into the table, Hardcore Holly landed on the medal Plake. Which slide threw his flesh making a deep cut.

Yea I was actually very pissed.. He was an outstanding performer and was very Hardcore! thats the main reason i liked him so much.. he was also one of the few that has been in the Attitude Era so it was stupid for them to fire him... But on the other hand he is getting too old.. and if WWE never released him he would've probably retired soon anyways.. he also wasn't treated right in the WWE.. they gave him a major push in 2002 where he faced Brock Lesner but then he went back to jobbing.. he would've probably made a departure soon.. but yea in my opinion they should have kept him and at least give him an intercontinental title shot.. it would've been nice to see.. But you know what get me mad the most? They freaking released D'Lo Brown! he was probably one of the most entertaining superstars there! They should have definitely gave him the intercontinental title.. its what he deserves... he was one of the best intercontinental champions.. and he even beat Triple H... and they made him do dark matches? whats wrong with them... and then they release him... that makes me sick!

No it was a real accident, was a nasty cut, deep, so much power to Holly for continuing with the match. What a wrestler...rightfully deserves his name Hardcore Holly!, ECW is lucky to have him.

No, that was accidental...the metal support on the table cut him as he went through it.

Normally, for safety, those are removed.
