loose scripting.

Apparently, Pamela admitted that she was in on the Borat stunt the whole time. So in a way, it was scripted. Except for the security guards who were not in on the joke who were going to put Sacha under arrest and everyone else didn't know that Borat was just a fictional character or what was going on. So he had whole crew at about 8 of them to make sure he doesn't get arrested and they did. So that other part was unscripted too.

It was scripted according to the new issue of rolling stone with Borat on the cover.

I think it was staged. Someone as famous as Pamela Anderson meeting members of the public in a pre-advertised book signing would have at least two bodyguards within meters of her, and others near by. As Borat made his lunge for her they would have piled on top of him and pinned him to the ground - none of this running round the car park nonsense.

I'm not sure HOW much of it was scripted, and how much was improvised.
They probably knew the general idea about what was going to happen, but just improvised the scene to make it seem more 'real'...much like that show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.

The scene was unscripted, but Pamela knew in advance what would be happening. She thought it would be fun, so she was happy to participate and pretend a little.

she knew. i read in usa today on their huge coverage of borat that pamela and borat had planned it over a year ago.

Evidently, that scene is the reason Kid Rock filed for divorce from Pam. I feel sorry for her because she is always so nice and I think Kid in good to but together they just don't gel like she and Tommy did.
