Ok, does a period just kinda fade out like get lighter and lighter until it is gone or does it just stop. Please help me This is my first period.

yes it doez. 1st u start out dark red and heavy & then it gets lighter and lighter until...POP...ure done 4 another month. :) this sucks. minez is next week. :( thanks 4 reminding me... :(

It can do either one. For your first period it is really hard to tell, as it can last only a day or two. But once you have a regular cycle, it will still be different almost every time.
In general, they tend to start out light, get heavy for a few days, then taper off. Al least that is the way mine go, most of the time. I've had a few that I just started gushing from day 1, I had to change my tampon like 6 or 7 times a day, and I was using supers! Then I've several that were really light, just 3 or 4 day, and they weren't that bad.

Mine fades in at the start and fades out at the end. Since it is a flow, flows don't suddenly stop unless a hindering blockage occurs (which is highly unlikely in a period). A flow rate changes gradually according to hormonal release and signaling! Good Luck Girl and Congrats on being a woman!

It starts out heavy and then by the 4th and 5th days it is much lighter. Always change often on the first 2 days!

Dont worry when I first started it was kinda Heavy then it got Light
Usally when your close to ending you
It gets lighter and lighter.
But let me warn you when I was in
Middle School, It went threw my pants 3 times!
The only way to prevent this
is to put the pad on right Also Change
In the morning Lunch and it needed
between classes just incase your differant
from mine.

I think everybody is different. I used to have mine for 7 days and very heavy and then it would just stop. It is hard to know with your first period after a few months you will be able to tell how your body reacts.

yea as the days go by it just kind of gets lighter and lighter till its finished. it doesnt just suddenly stop.

Yes it does. The second day is usually the heaviest. Usually will have your period from 3 to 5 days.

usually it gets less and less over a couple days. Some woman have them light, some woman have them heavy. Same with cramps bloating and fatigue. You should be visiting your gynocologist for any other q & a. And to make sure everything is going the way it should.
