When we first took the test, it was very very faint, and we had a heck of a time deciding whether it was a positive or negative. Took one of the digital ones and got a positive, very clear and concise.

Lots of false negative or postives can happen for various reasons. Old test, expired. Not first of the morning urine , diabetes, medications, diet, infections or other reasons . So yes you can get a wrong reading, and if in doubt toss it out-wait a few days and take another test. Good luck.

I've been reading about alot of women not peeing positive for months after they know they are pregnant. Doctors would tell them they werent and a couple months later they find out the whole time they were. My friend peed positive and she wasnt pregnant. Sometimes I dont think the test works all that well....

I heard that there are hardly ever False positives and more likely to be false negatives...in other words it would more likely say that you are NOT when in fact you ARE than that you ARE and you are really NOT.
If it says you ARE than the odds are in favor that you ARE....take a deep breath and remember there is always adoption :-)

Usually only a false negative if you test too early! Good luck to you!

i've had a couple of those the first time i got pg. you just have to wait a couple of days and repeat. i know they're expensive, but if you hate to wait, just go to dr. they can give you a blood test and that's more accurate.
