Why should there be any welfare check at all?
Nobody owes you a living. If you get assistance, regard it as what it is, an unearned gift. Entitlements are BUNK.
We really need to go back to poor houses and county farms so people can do something to support themselves. A very good friend of mine grew up in those institutions (heck of a lot better than the reservation) and it inspired him to learn a trade, work and make something of himself, support his family and save them the trauma of having people know they were on the dole.

hey hunny, listen up. The welfare system is a bunch of BS. You lazy *****, go get a job and quit spending all my tax money. As a white college student who hasnt recieved welfare (nor have my parents), has no drug problem, is not pregnant, and does not get my *** kicked by my boyfriend, yet I am a full time student while working 40 hrs a week I couldnt get a decent apartment... it was either the Ritz, or in the ghetto.. and the thought of living near a bunch a of whiney drug addicted moochers made me sick. Get a job, and quit whining.

Most states now have a time limit for drawing welfare benefits and during that time you should have been getting trained for a job. The state will pay for child care ,and there are grants and financial aid to assist in paying tuition and for books. If you didn't take advantage of the chance to get educated, you can blame noone but yourself. I think it may be time for you to get a job and start supporting yourself. It doesn't matter what race, religion, color, or national origin you are, at some time adults have to take responsibility for themselves and their own support.

Of course they aren't prejudiced against anyone. They are using that money to pay it forward....a new process for welfare recipients... :) You'll get another check as soon as you start working.

I don't know where you live, but in California welfare is limited (i.e. you can only receive wellfare for a specific amount of time before they cut you off). I think that is the case in most states. It doesn't have anything to do with your race.

No, they're not prejudiced against black people, dear. White people can't get welfare at all unless they're a female and pregnant. Count your blessings and send a thank you card to Jesse and Al.

I'm telling you man, everybody has to work. Working is not that bad. You get used to it. It's fun getting a paycheck. Not all jobs are as bad as some. Find the right one for you.

Asking questions like this really bring out the racist intolerant views of the answerers. Judge on kind people.

I get really tired of people trying to use race for something they are not entitled to. Everyone has trouble with the welfare system, they have no hearts.
