I don't believe she changed her mind. The newly elected dems decided who they wanted and didn't vote for her choices. She is going to have major problems getting her far left liberal ideas to fly with many of the newly elected more moderate dems.

Maybe some things are too extreme even for San Fran Nan. The idea of someone who has been convicted of accepting bribes having access to our most sensitive intel should be over the line for everyone who wants to call him/herself a patriot.

they ran a moderate democrat campaign to bring in the votes. "look we are not extremists we are moderates so vote for us" she was thinking this would give her the majority then she could ram through the extreame leftist agendas through leadership. She figured the newly appointed would side with her to vote party lines and show appreaciation and support for the elders but it backfired. They saw threw her scheme and told her that they were sticking too their beliefs. Kudos to the moderates.

Pelosi has been consistently trying to pick ppl that are opposed to the Iraqi war for committee chairmanships.
