It's not war. It's politics. Political parties have an issue to rally around to sway voters to their respective sides. Some win some loose yet the war goes on. The 2008 election will be more of the same, a campaign issue.

They drove this country into the ground. America is on the brink of disaster and Bush is running around the Middle East now trying to do deals and pay these nations off with your tax money.
He's a complete idiot. The new government, including the Democrats are in the process of being snowed by Neocons who are trying to save face by "staying the course". Diplomacy does not mean bribing more nations that deservedly hate America because of all the killings. Diplomacy means involving ALL of the Middle East nations and taking GUIDANCE FROM THEM on how to navigate out of this disaster created by Neocons who simply DIDN'T WANT TO LISTEN.
Millions around the world tried to tell them not to start this invasion and occupation. They were so defiant. Now everyone will suffer because they STILL don't know what they are doing.
Why don't you spend time constructing a letter to Congress. Tell all of your friends to do the same. Then mail them or e-mail them. The future of the nation is at stake because of these Neocon dopes.

No, I don't agree that the mission has been accomplished. I don't think the President knows what the hell his mission is.
When the mission is over, our soldiers will be coming home and I don't mean in body bags.

Bush secretly works for the Chinese; why else would he waste our national treasury, allow our soldiers to get killed and maimed for nothing, and allow our economy to fail?

I don't see how you think it has lasted longer than WWII.
I think we still have bases in Japan and Germany.
It would seem we are just now keeping the peace in Iraq for them to establish their democracy.
