Most top-shelf rock stars (members of the Stones, McCartney, Clapton, Ringo, etc) are so incredibly freakin' rich that they have given-up citizenry in their home country to avoid taxes. Once they surrender citizenry, they maintain a home on the US... maintain a home in the UK... maintain a home in Caribbean country that has no income tax.... maintain a home in France.... etc etc etc. That way, they can apply for visas in each of these countries and spend only X number of days in each country. Thus, they avoid the taxes they would have to pay if they lived in only one country full time. I'm sure every rock star owns a home in the UK, plus a home in the US, plus a home in France plus a home in the Caribbean - just to avoid taxes.
