Why is it perfectly normal for two females to hold hands and kiss, but not for males.

Well its not normal, but more widely accepted for females.

No but I have seen lots of female teenagers holding hands.

I guess there are two reasons you could see more girls holding hands. Maybe girls are naturally more physically affectionate and feel comfortable showing their affection this way in public. Another reason could be a fear factor. A couple of homophobic males driving or walking by two females would have a different response to two males holding hands. They would most likely scream ugly remarks to the males and encouraging remarks to the females. I have never heard a man say look at those disgusting girls getting it on. More like - can I join you. OK, there's my 2cents.

Of course. Just depends upon where you are. for example, in various African countries, 'the taking of hands" among males is a sign of friendship and nothing more. I've seen Polynesian males sleeping together, cuddled-up, but they were not Gay, nor were they being sexual, although that can happen. In larger cities, like NYC or San Francisco, you'll see young men holding hands and even kissing in public.
Nothin' to get freaked-out over.

No. I honestly never have. I suppose because homophobia is rife at the high-school level, and it's pretty difficult in our society for a man to hold another man's hand and not be thought of as being in a sexual relationship with him: in either homosexual or homosocial relatinos, that kind of public expression is just not going to happen very often. Sad, but true.

Yes. But I don't like it when people think it's wrong or anything like that. It's love and they should have the right to love people their own gender. I am straight though but i'm not against that. No not one bit. That just makes me happy that they found someone in this cruel world.
