In my dance class we need to choreograph a dance which involves a story line. Can you please suggest a song with a good story line withen the lyrics which I can easily make a dance to? Thank you!

ok, and I'm looking for music that I can do modern, ballet, and jazz to. But it can still be upbeat.

an awesome song choice would be "don't forget me" by way out west. I've been wanting to choreograph a lyrical piece for this song. Good luck .

Hyperballad by Bjork.

it starts off slow and then gets really upbeat.
I have used it for Modern and Jazz before so it works

We live on a mountain
Right at the top
There's a beautiful view
From the top of the mountain
Every morning I walk towards the edge
And throw little things off
Like:
Car parts, bottles and cutlery
Or whatever I find lying around

It's become a habit
A way
To start the day

I go through all this
Before you wake up
So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you

It's early morning
No one is awake
I'm back at my cliff
Still throwing things off
I listen to the sounds they make
On their way down
I follow with my eyes 'til they crash
Imagine what my body would sound like
Slamming against those rocks

When it lands
Will my eyes
Be closed or open?

I go through all this
Before you wake up
So I can feel happier
To be safe up here with you

You know, for some reason, the only song I can think of that tells a story is Renee by Lost Boyz. It's sad and dramatic, if that helps. It's rap, but it's very expressive as opposed to "gangsta." Give it a listen on limewire or something. Here are the lyrics.

Chose something upbeat if its modern dance, or if its ballet or ball room dancing chose something slow and classy. That's what my ballet teacher told me.

maybe Its Oh, So Quiet by Bjork, but ciara or even a kelly clarkson song might be better

I really like Uninvited by Alanis Morrisette. I think it would be a good one to do.
