I'm not the first person to suggest this--Kansas City--but let me explain why.
Kansas city is in the center of a hotbed of hoops lovers
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Kansas+City,+MO
To the west you have Kansas, and kansas loves the Jayhawks.
To the south you have oklahoma and okcity has gone Cuckoo for the hornets. And to the north you have Iowa, who has no professional team(just like Kansas and Oklahoma) so they would latch on to the proteam just like fans in the region already love the chiefs.
None of this mentions that St Louis folks would make this new team thiers. Missouri loves basketball. And the state would make it the state team, kinda like everyone in Missouri loves the chiefs and the cardinals.
Also, KC once had a successful team, the Kansas City Kings. They reacdhed the western conference finals in 80-81, KC needs another chance.

Las Vegas but the chances are slim unless Stern can convince people there to stop betting on nba games that won't happen. They should fill the void that the nets are going to leave in New Jersey when they leave. And they should also fill the void that will be left when it's decided where in the three areas: New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and Seattle; a nba team will permanently settle. There are two teams for these three areas and one is going to be left without one because the Hornets aren't going to be a split team for much longer. So they should fill the void left behind

I always wanted an nba team here in hawaii. But I know that it's never going to happen. Hawaii is just way too far and would cause travelling problems and flights would take too long. But the most reasonable places would probably be Kansas, Las Vegas, and New York. I don't consider the NY knicks as an nba franchise. I consider them a group of overpaid and cocky stars. (excluding Channing Frye, Jamal Crawford, David Lee, and Nate Robinson)

I've read about NBA interest in Las Vegas. Other possibilities: Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Nashville, Cincinnati.

No were. The college players dint complete there education as it is. But now giving high school students an excuse to leave school early for hardship cases is Bull. Education should be first, and let the kids play.
