No, I don't think it's normal for human parents. Besides, what if the baby has cradle cap? Ewww!

Its not normal to me. I kiss her head lots though. Licking is probably not a good idea if your baby is really young because you could give your child a sickness of some kind..some things that you are immune to you baby is not so you could be carrying it and have no adverse affects and then transfer it to your baby accidentely by lickikng its head and causing it to get sicl.

Shouldn't be a need to! Lioness lick their cubs to clean and groom them. Humans use baths and brushes. You will get a lot of strange looks and possibly even a visit from Child Safety.
Try it once if you like but trust me, if I saw someone doing that I would cross the street and pity your child.

Ok...babies are really cute and smell even better, but that's because of their natural baby smell combined with their BATH SOAP, not saliva. Licking their head is just weird.

Depends how you do it. If you give them a little lick that's ok, but if its sloppy and wet and you do it over and over again, that's wierd and may even be illegal.

Cats carry their babies around by the back of the neck too. Don't try either!

be prepared to cough up some hairballs...before you know it you'll be training them to go in the litter box instead of the potty.
