i need help with these problems . . . . .

1. Phosphorus trichloride is used in the manufacture of certain pesticides, and may be synthesized directly from its element. Write the unbalanced chemical equation for this process.

2. Carbon tetrachloride was widely useed for many years until its harmful properties became well established. Carbon tetrachloride may be prepared by the reaction of natural gas (methane, CH4) and chlorine gas in the presence of ultraviloet light. Write the unbalanced chemical equation for this process.

3. The principle natural ore of lead is galena, which is primary lead (II) sulfide. Lead (II) sulfide cab be converted to lead (II) oxide and sulfur dioxide gas by heating strongly in the air. Lead (II) oxide can then be heated with the element carbon(coke), producing pure lead metal and carbon dioxide gas. Write unbalanced chemical equations for the reaction of lead (II) sulfide with oxygen gas, and for the reaction of lead(II) oxide with carbon.

1.) Phosphorus trichloride is PCl3. Since it's created from the elements, the unbalanced equation is: P + Cl2 (g) -> PCl3

2.) Carbon tetrachloride is CCl4 (tetra = four). For the equation, you need to take into account the hydrogen that's removed from the methane. CH4 (g) + Cl2 (g) -> CCl4 (l) + H2 (g)

After showing you 1 and 2, you should be able to do 3, as long as you know that sulfide means Sulfur. Thus, Lead Sulfide is PbS.
