S=t+4 and 2t+5=19?

You have to find the value of t before you can continue with the equation or question .... therefore you take these steps..............

First:
2t +5 = 19
Then you subtrat 5 from both sides:
2t + 5 - 5 = 19 - 5
From the top you can see that in the left hand side both of the 5's netralise themselfs therefore the equation now looks like this:
2t = 19-5
Now work 19 - 5 :
2t= 19 - 5 which is 14
Then from there you write:
2t = 14
Divide both side by 2 because you want the t alone
2t/2 = 14/2
Then the t is left alone and you find what t is
t= 14/2 which is 7!
t=7

Now you use ur number which you now know t represents and find the value of S

S= t +4
Place in the value for t
S= 7 + 4
Now work 7 +4
S = 7+ 4 which is 11

Then ur finally answer is:
S = 11

And you are finally done!!!!!

s = t + 4 -----(1)
2t + 5 = 19 -----(2)
From (1): t = s - 4 -----(3)
Substituting (3) into (2), we have
2(s - 4) + 5 = 19
2s - 8 + 5 = 19
2s = 22
Therefore, s = 11
Substituting s = 11 into (3), we have
t = 11 - 4
Therefore t = 7.
Answer: s = 11 and t = 7
