The minimum wage should be increased if you want unemployment to increase among people who have the hardest time finding a job. Business owners will do the calculation and find more often that hiring an additional person will not increase their profit, so they won't hire someone. The minimum wage, like any other form of price fixing, distorts the market: people buy less of something if the government says you have to pay more for it than you think it's worth.

cuz it is not cool that a person who works a 40 hour week can not suport himself and actually he should be able to support 2 people.
Did you know that COLA is based on items that do not keep up with the market in general.
Minimum wage should be tied to the purchase price of a healthy diet, a certain shared somehow tied to the price for room, plus enough for health insurance and a little extra for such as soap etc.
Another law that should be passed is personal income should not exceed 1000 times the minimum wage. No way is one person actually worth more than 1000 times what another person is. There are other things to use as incentives. As things are now a person buys all he can handle and the only thing left to buy is power, and well you can see what that does.

It should go up because the price of everything else goes up with out questions, so why should minimum wage be different? Rent increases everytime a lease is renewed, gas increases anytime it feels like it, the cost of groceries, education, clothing, food, the cost of living period goes up therefore minimum wage should go up just to keep people able to pay their bills and eat.

Depends what angle you are looking at it from. As an employee, you would be able to take home more pay and be able to buy more products and services. But as a business owner, this increases your operating costs that leads to prices of products being increased to help pay the added expense. This in turn leads to inflation and continues on a never ending cycle.

Because since it is at it's minimum, then it is not responsive to the changes in inflation. A person's monthly expenses may used to be 500, but with the inflation topping us up it will now cost 600 to 700 monthly.
