Sandy, that's a tough one.I have loved 3 men in my life. The first is my Daddy. I loved him and I lost him about 15 years ago. I wouldn't give up the memory of that lost love for anything in the world. The 2nd. was my husband of 14 years. I loved him and had to lose him because he thought it was a good idea to put a bullet in my chest. And HE DID !! But the good times I will always treasure. The 3rd AND last man that I have loved, and still do is very ill. And I am left to take care of him. Something I have done the entire 15 years we have been together. I love him a HELL of alot more than he could ever love me. But all of that set aside....it is better to love. Love as much as you can. And take love when it comes your way. I'm waiting to see if someday someone might actually love me as much as I have loved the men in my life. I doubt it though. I'm 45 goin' on 95. lol. Love is a good thing..and almost always ends up hurting you one way or another.

Oh yeah. Because then you can still go back to those wonderful moments. A scent, a word, a television show, anything can take you back to the happiest place you've ever been. I feel sorry for anyone who has never had the opportunity to experience real love. It's indesribable.

No I don't think so. I loved my wife and lost her. And that has caused a lot of pain in my life. But, if I never fell in love with her and lost her, I don't think it would hurt!

Yes, if it is truly love, though it is harder to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I don't know... I'm going through a breakup right now and it is so painful, and I mean physically, that although I have many wonderful memories and have learned a lot.... I don't know if it was worth this awful pain.

Definitely. If you never did, you'd never know what you would have missed out on & that walk down memory lane would never be as good.

I can only say, that it hurts less to never have loved at all.
Still, I am glad that I choose to love.
