How did the cavemen cut their nails?

They obviously didn't have nailclippers. Did they bite them? Did their nails just break off? Did the space aliens keep their nails all trimmed down and tidy for them?

Hun they most likely bit them off or from the lack of malnutrition they didn't grow fast like they do now
