If your insurance will not cover an ultrasound you can go to a 3d ultrasound place. I did this with my 2nd because I was on medicaid and they only covered for one ultrasound and they gave it to me before you could tell the sex of the baby, It was a little expensive $150 I think) but worth every penny! Good luck

You'll have to have an ultrasound done in order to definately determine the sex of the baby, but there are some old wives tales about swinging a needle and how you pick up a key, etc. They can be a fun way to guess until you have an ultrasound. The sex of the baby can be determined as early as 16 -21 weeks.

At 3 months, your only option is to have genetic analysis done through amniocentesis or some other test that is able to collect the baby's DNA. Not a safe thing to do if the only thing you have questions about is the baby's sex!

At 5 months, you may be able to tell during an ultrasound exam, although ultrasound is not 100% accurate.

You have to wait a little longer until you are closer to 20 weeks, then you can get an ultrasound done.

At 3 months you should be seeing an OB-GYN regularly. They will let you know once you get your ultrasound. Good luck!

They should be able to tell you at your 18 week ultra sound. Make sure you have it done at or a little after 18 weeks though, not before.
