what we did one year... even though it doesnt sound romantic.. but we were together and thats what mattered.... we did laundry together =) and watched a movie. you can take care of stuff and be with each other.

Make a book of the highlights of your life together as husband and wife. Paste in pictures, starting with your wedding day, followed by trips you've taken together. Also include photos of holidays, graduations, and moving into your first house. Fill it in with candids of the two of you, along with some funny and sweet quotes or momentos of when the photos were taken. Leave blank pages in the back so you can load up with new memories next year.
$
Picnic at the spot where you got engaged. If it's so unique that you can't go back in a day's trip, re-create the moment closer to home. Proposed in France? Pack up a baguette, Brie, olives, and champagne, and head to a secluded spot. Said "yes" at a vineyard across the coast? Order one of its wines online to toast to another happy year. Don't forget the big fluffy blanket and pillows. And if the mood strikes you, "propose" again. Tell your mate all the reasons you love being married -- and ask if she'll be your wife for eternity. Girls, you can turn the tables here and get down on one knee as well. We know how fun it is being proposed to -- let your man feel that glow!
Head to the nursery, take out the shovel, and plant a tree together in your yard. Then you can mark each year's passing with the sprouting of a colorful maple or cherry tree. Snap a shot of it on each anniversary and keep the pictures in a photo journal along with a record of each year's disappointments and celebrations.

Yes.
What about writing him a lovely letter detailing all the wonderful things that have happened this year - even since you married. Keep away from the negatives. Only the positives - especially positives about him and your feelings toward him. Possibly add little photographs, or illustrations as well. Put a lot of love into it. Use pretty paper.
You're very much in love and that is so sweet and nurturing. Good for you. Sometimes the tough money times are the best times, believe it or not.
Good luck.

Write a poem, sappy i know but it works and it is sweet. Stressed out you say write a funny poem make him laugh by doing something that you guys usually do not do. I wirte crazy poems to my boyfriend of three years all the time. The are called Odes. Help him with some of his work if you can, take the stress off of him. Or does he like sports, and you have to eat so make some sandwiches and hotwings, pig out and look at the game. Sometimes just being interested in what he has to do or say is the best gift of all.

If you can find a library book about origami, try making one of the easier figures of special significance. On the paper, before you start, write something very special, some phrase that he would know that only you would say. Then fold it, and wrap it up. When he opens it, get out the book and show him what it means, then open it up and show him what it says inside. Then you two can fold it back up together and he can save it forever. You might sew a thread through it and hang it on the Christmas Tree, or whatever symbol of whichever holidays you celebrate.

For my anniversary with my boyfriend I made him a binder. On each page I put 3 hearts. On each heart I wrote 1 reason why I love being with him. I ended up with 110. So maybe if you did something like that and dinner..

i would buy yourself something really hot to wear and ahve a sitter for the kids. start sending him text messages around 2 telling him how you can not wait to see him and you are hor*y. he will be so ready to get home. be there in your neglige or whatever you choose, or naked, and wear some really high heels. light some candles and cook dinner. he will get home to an almost naked wife with food and he'll be ready to get busy. i think that's what most husbands want.
