Doesn't matter if you decide you want to or not - it's NOT possible, barring some sort of head injury or trauma!

did u watch the movie equilibrium? i think u should. its not bad
only way to "kill" ur emotions would be to remove or permenantly impair certain portions of ur brain, but in the process u'd become a retard.
drugs can supress emotions, and that can be for the better if u have mood or uncontrollable emotional problems, but its a temporary solution, and it doesn't work 100%.
either way trying to eliminate em entirely may lead to another state of utterly uncontrollable emotional stage.
and emotios are necessary for humans. put it this way; emotions are in one way or another part ot the reason u exist, as in u survived uptill now. an emotionless parent would have killed their kids for being a burden. there will be no law and order as our sense of right and wrong would not exist without emotion. people will kill enyone else as they feel nothing, no remorse. they wont have reason to judje the consequences or their actions as they feel nothing about the possible result.
and all the emotions that go with the things u enjoy will no longer exist. u will have no reason to exist.
so hell no, u shouldn't kill off ur emotions. as much as they can hurt and cause trouble, u wouldn't be human without ur emotions, its an integral part of humanity. u'd be an empty shell without ur emotions.
what i wanna know is how u were planning to kill ur emotions. mail me if u have a good answer to that, some docs i know could develop a miracle cure to depression and bipolar disorder.

If you kill all of your emotions then you will be heartless. Compassion is a spiritual emotion and is necessary as a human being, otherwise one is no more conscious than an animal. You are just suffering due to illusion and that can be cured. One must get out of illusion and see things as they are in reality. The quickest and easiest way to do that is to Chant the Maha Mantra or the Great Mantra for deliverance (from illusion and suffering)
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
It is the only solution to end all misery including the unnecessary emotions. Go to stephen-knapp.c for Universal truths and how to become free from all bondage and suffering.e-mail me for the direct link to mantra meditation

Now that is Freudian thinking, anal retentive and bordering on becoming an automaton. Emotions when clearly defined are a good thing. Emotions help you enjoy life, not deprive you of feeling anything. Emotions is what makes you a human being, capable of caring for others. That's just a little bit sociopathic, they have no guilt or feeling about anything they do.

No, emotions are indicators of your inside, such as thought, feeling, perceptions, and attitudes. Do acknowledge its presence, and accept them. When it's a negative emotion, acknowleging it means accepting the fact that something is wrong inside you. If it's a positive emotion, acknowledging it means that you know that you are happy or excited.
Just not to let the emotions (whether it's positive or negative) rule and control you, and get you make irrational decision. Instead, use the emotion to know how you truly feel inside, and put yourself under control and stay rational & calm.

Emotions are necessary to developing & excercising good judgement. People who have suffered severe head injuries & had their brain damaged in such a way that they could not feel but otherwise could "think rationally" actually could not make good decisions; it turns out that humans need the feeling function to be able to learn & to think productively - that's what helps us tell whether something is getting better of worse.
Without feelings, there isn't a sense of values!

No, I don't. I have that ability, and it's always caused more problems than it solves. Emotions are as much a part of your makeup as everything else-and ultimately, you'll have to cope with them, whether it's weeks or months or years later. Usually supressing your emotions only causes you to do other, more destructive things to cope.

That is insane. You might as well get a lobotomy saying things like this. Life is to good to detach. Enjoy it, don't suppress it.
