I always do my work, and when i decide to put my work aside for a little while, i keep thinking about it, and get very anxious. I can't relax myself! I never really have time to just do nothing because we always have homework and projects to do. (mostly from my evil S.S teahcer. she just loves to make us upset). My 'doing nothing' is coming here and answering and askind questions.

Is it just a little ok to think about my work first?
if not, how do i keep my anxious mind off of it?

Of coarse it is ok to think about your work first. Your work will give you the education to make the money you need to survive, give you security, and the ability to plan for your future (and your families). There is a fine line though. Give yourself time to get out and smell the flowers. Don't get into the habit of staying so busy you just drive by and see them (stop, pull over and smell them). You need education and money to survive in this world, but in the end, when you are in your rocking chair, the money won't matter but the memories will.

If you don't get this OCD under control now you will have more and more difficulty as you get oldest. I don't mean take medication. I mean learn to control your mind. The best way to control the mind and be peaceful is to chant the Maha Mantra
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Say it loud enough to hear each syllable and at least 108 times. (Get some mantra meditation beads to count. The problem is they don't teach us how to control our minds in school. It is just a simple process, one just has to learn the art. I can give you a direct link to the lite that has all the details on the mantra. It really works and frees one from all anxiety and misery.

Perhaps you are simply a good worker and care about what you do. I know many employers who love to have a worker like you that thinks about their job !

Be happy !
