Because unfortunately this is what passes for political discourse for many in this country today. It is acceptable to criticize policies which you don't like. It is acceptable to dislike the man if you choose. A poster about above me stated that it is patriotic to criticize, I can accept that, but there is a difference between constructive criticism and absolute slander and many just appear to be unable to separate the two. Do not be deterred by the negative responses you have received here. If you like the President for whatever reason that is your right and speaking out about why you like him is perfectly acceptable. Your opinions are just as valid as any of the detractors. Freedom of speech is a double edged sword, while we may not like the things that are said it is still the right of people to say these things. In a perfect world people would intelligently discuss issues, but alas the world we live in is far from perfect.

President Bush hasn't been assassinated because he's not some 0.33-international tin-pot dictator who has declared himself to be "President for existence." we've elections and time period limits on the Presidency. (Please save each and every of the rhetorical BS about stolen elections for yet another day.) the sturdy stuff and undesirable stuff are subjective. One guy's sturdy is yet another guy's tyranny. John Wilkes sales area change into area of a conspiracy that needed Lincoln useless because he preserved the Union and emancipated the slaves. A note of caution: the concern of the assassination of a President will be a risky one. in case you say the incorrect ingredient, you may want to finally end up talking to the secret service devoid of First modification safe practices.

Wow. Expressing my opinion would probably cause me to get personally attacked by immature, ignorant people. But, I am going to anyway. I think he is a very unintelligent man who has done absolutely nothing positive for us. Say what you want, that is your opinion. He is probably the worst president in U.S. History. The only progress he has made is making himself look ridiculous. He has taken the lives of our innocent people. That war is not worth fighting and losing our people to. There is hate all over the world. Why continue the hate by participating in a war that should've ended a long time ago. We have no business placing our beliefs on other people. They have the right to live how they would like just as we do. I am all for supporting my country, but not for a ridiculous, unnecessary war and ignorant president.

Because its our duty as citizens and patriots of this country to be critical of the President.
To quote another Republican President..............
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
President Teddy Roosevelt

Please tell me you're not THAT gullible. Just because a person smiles doesn't make him/her a good person. I've seen pictures of Charles Manson smiling. Would you say he's a good person? How about Hitler? I've seen him smiling. Shrubby has helped people. They are his rich oil buddies and their cronies. He sure hasn't helped anybody in Iraq. To answer your question, people say bad things about him because he's evil and deserves it.

You know that is one great, great thing about this country. We have a right to criticise our elected officials. There are many countries where you would be killed and or tortured for criticising your government. Their is a song that goes like this: "Did you ever get that feeling when people get unkind, they have evil on their notions and evil on their minds. Though ignorance should never be excused, I'll do my part to not take on THEIR attitutde." That's the secret my friend. People will say unkind and evil things, just don't take on their attitudes and stick with your beliefs!

Respect is an old fashioned concept these days, apparently. I think there are plenty of ways to disagree with a person's politics, in America, other than hateful rhetoric.
Unfortunately, they are seeking to poison minds, and it works, so they continue.
