Bourjois Talons Aiguilles ($13). With hair extension-like nylon fibers that attach to lashes for added length,
Curling
L'Oreal Panoramic Curl ($7.95). Featuring an anti-droop formula that, when combined with the lash-defining Liftcurl brush, results in intense curl that lasts for eight hours.
Giorgio Armani Star Lash ($23.50). A curved brush -- to better grip the lashes -- and lash-extending Microfil Waves Complex add curly drama.
Volumizing
When lush, dense-looking lashes are what you're after, then reach for a volumizing mascara. This formula is designed with an ample, sexy fringe in mind.
\Rimmel Volum'Eyes Instant Full Volume Comb Mascara ($6). While the comb applicator seems tricky, it's worth getting used to: it separates and lengthens, resulting in sexy-beyond-belief peepers with zero clumps.
Extras
If you wear contacts, have sensitive eyes, or suffer from brittle, dry lashes, there's a formula for you. And of course, if you can't live without waterproof mascara, (which forms a film around each lash to protect it from water), the options are endless, as many brands offer waterproof versions of their most popular mascaras. Here are a few choices.
Repechage Colour Actif ($22). A hypoallergenic mascara containing vitamin-rich, antibacterial seaweed to reduce breakage and keep the applicator clean.
Urban Decay Lingerie and Galoshes for Lashes ($15.50). The dual-sided wand is an ideal accessory to your favorite mascara. One side primes with volumizing microfibers, and the other side applies a waterproof layer.

Mascaras generally come in two types- lengthening and thickening. Lengthening is very nice for a pretty, natural look and thickening is more dramatic and funky.
For Lengthening, I like:
Loreal Lash Out
For Thickening:
Voluminous
Christian Dior DiorShow
I also recommend curling your lashes first. Hold the curler close to your eye and gently squeeze the lashes. Next, very slowly wiggle the mascara wand and the base of your lashes and gently work your way up. If there are clumps, you can use an eyelash comb.

I only use Maybelline Great Lash mascara, I have been using it forever and I think it is the best (the one in the pink tube) Put on one coat then curl your lashes and put on another coat, makes your lashes look great. You can also take a little face powder and brush it on your eyelashes before you start, it makes the mascara stick better.

I struggled with finding a mascara I liked too - I feel your pain - I finally found Maybelline Unstoppable and really like it. Make sure you are using a lash curler - I learned this great trick - before putting on your mascara - use your hair dryer to slightly warm up your eyelash curler before you curl your lashes - then apply your mascara - NEVER use your curler after applying your mascara.

The mascara I swear by (no clumps, no no longer something! no lie!) is from Sephora... city Decay huge Fatty Mascara. It doesn't even appear as if your donning mascara, purely appears like you've the longest lashes contained in the international. the purely con is that once you cry, it shows! :-( because that's no longer water-information. yet, purely stay chuffed and by no ability something will bypass incorrect!

i honestly know exactly how you feel, my lashes wont stay curled no matter what. but for the last couple months i have used maybelline volum express waterproof mascara and it works incredibly. it gives great extension and fullness to your lashes without any clumping at all. make sure to curl your lashes before applying the mascara and curling them again afterwards. if you are still having trouble making them stay, try holding your lashes in the curler for about 30 seconds. i know it feels like forever but it works.

I like mascara from the Avon brand. It seems to work pretty good and they also have waterproof options.

Try the Avon brands. They have lots of options in different colors. They have a brand new one that works really well. I wear them and have good luck.

clinque has really good mascara. another thing i would suggest is maybe trying a waterproof mascara- they tend to last and hold a lot longer. be careful not to rub your eyes either- that would definitely wear down the mascara.
