I’m white, and I was going out with this black guy, he dressed kind of like a rap star, I don’t know really how to describe it, like baggy jeans, big shirts, you know. Anyways, I don’t dress like that. I dress in stuff that a lot of his friends who were girls didn’t dress in, and didn’t like.
All his friends, guys and girls, black and white, said stuff like “What are you doing with that little white girl?”
And some of my friends said I looked funny with him, since I dress “so white” and he doesn’t.
Does this look funny together? Why do people care?

i think its because some plp aren't used to seeing that.. me personally have nothing wrong with it.. they're just jealous because your probably with some one they like or something.. it doesn't look "funny" at all you dress the way you want.. and you can date whomever you wantoo.. k?

i dated a black girl for a few months some years back, and her friends didnt get that we just liked each other and didnt care how each other dressed, or what color we are. i've been a guitarist in a band forever and look a little more "rock star" than "rap star", and they really didnt get me. it was ok, i didnt really get them either sometimes.
as long as he was an ok guy, who cares?
'm just happy that i'm blessed with so many varieties of beautiful women to admire. life would suck if we were all the same. someday nobody will care about skin color. we'll all be a tannish greyish color and then we'll be able to just hate each other for who they are on the inside.

Do what you want to do but understand that many of us are other races and biracial as well. We don't like mixing races because of the problems engendered throughout our lives and the lives of our children. Don't buy future problems for your kids and family. People generally are happier with their own culture. However, if you decide you are strong enough to handle the rejection from both ethnicities/races then go for it. The bible does not forbid it -- only society does. Moses' wife was black and he was hebrew. Don't remember which tribe. Of course, his problems were different than just getting an apartment in a same color neighborhood.

It doesn't matter what people think. Do YOU like him? Does he treat you right? At the end of the day, you and him are the only two that are in a relationship together. Stop stressing yourself trying to evaluate what everyone else is thinking. If you do, you may lose the guy.

Yeah black people can be like that. You can't listen to what other people think no matter what they say. Yinz don't look funny together people will always have negative thoughts on interacial dateing.

Listen to your heart and nobody else. If you like him, go for it. I had dated a black guy and I'm asian. I have gotten looks from people and spoken to about it as well. I know how you feel. It didn't stop me for dating him for two years.
