I've owned both and I say pitbull.

It never ceases to amaze me how purely stupid humans are. Neither would win both would lose. Fighting animals is illegal and for good reason, its cruelty. How bout we put you in a pit bull TERRIER suit and have a rottweiler chew you up, does that sound cool to you? cause it certainly sounds amusing to me. Now it does not sound amusing when its the real pit bull terrier, a truly loyal loving breed, that has been ruined by idiots like you.

I dont know about average but if my friends rottweiler is anything to go by id say that.

The Rottweiler would win. They're bigger, and I used to have to stop my neighbor's pittbull from getting torn to shreds by my rottweiler.
