What do I do? It's a new computer. I've been off-line for a while, but I know it isn't right.

There are two things at least that determine what you see when you look at a web page.
1. The preferences of the web browser you are using. Set the default font size to a larger size. If you are using Opera, you can set the magnification size as well.
2. If all the stuff you read on the computer is smaller, then set the screen resolution to a lower value. If you have a Mac, go to system prefs>display>and select a size above (fewer pixels) where it is set now. For example if it says 1280 x 960 then select 1024 x 768. Computers have different resolutions, so the numbers for your computer might be different than these examples. Also, if you are using a Mac, you can press Apple + or Apple - to change the default font size of many applications.

By faded you are talking about 'contrast.' find the control for that in system prefs and give the screen more contrast. If you have a monitor that has separate controls, you need to figure those out. Someone may have changed them.

;-D If you are talking only about your own web page, then you have to change that from within what ever web creation software you used to make the page.
