Why do the French dislike the Americans ?

People think the French hate the United States - it's not true. First of all, you can NOT generalize a whole country! It's like saying all of the United States is filled with fat kids. Yes, there are many fat kids but not all are by any means! Maybe some French hate us, as do soem Germans, Brazilians, Italians, Russians, Arabs, Australians, Canadians...everyone hates everyone in certain terms. It's not one country vs another.

The French do not "dislike" Americans. I have been to France many times and never ran into anyone rude or who didn't like me because I'm American. It doesn't matter where you go or who you are, someone out there will be have will have something against you for some reason.

the lissen to the same music, same food, etc
infact the french are stating to transform into somewhat an american culture

Because the North Vietnamese said they had to in the Peace Agreement.

Because American's don't know who Georges Brassens is.

Because Fernadel is not a household name in America.

Because Jaques Tati is not a household name in America.

Because we bribed Jaques Cousteau and Jean Reno with millions of dollars to talk in Merican instead of Frenches.

We helped kick the Nazis out of France, most of them liked Nazis, they agreed with the Nazis, so they are bitter about the whole thing. They exploited the people of Vietnam and created the mess there. They exploited many people in many places. Most of those places today you will find famine and pestilence as a direct result of there exploitation. When a country like America that has some sense of morality comes in and saves them twice, there reaction would be to hate them, because they hate themselves. There reaction is to point there finger and judge when there crimes against the third world are shamefull. There angry that they are no longer able to exploit the people there.
They hate everything and cant stand themselves. That is why if you ask them if there is a God they say no. If you ask them if there is a hell they say yes.

They don't always. They only hate Americans when a Republican is in charge. In fact, most of Europe is like that. Watch, if a Democrat gets elected in 2008, the French will like us again. Europeans also don't like "cowboys." I actually had a friend in Germany explain this to me. BTW, they like Americans, it's our Government and policies they don't like. Unless it's John Kerry or someone like that.

They don't, particularly. It's just a sterotype, just like the one that says all Americans are red-necks. I went to France, and everyone there was very nice...in fact, many were more polite than Americans.

Some of them think we're fat, lazy, controlling, and stuck up and get what we don't deserve, and some of us constantly make gay jokes about the French. and something about their women being hairy...which isn't true.
