Instead of saying to yourself 'I will not cry..I will not cry...',
say just the opposite over and over, I Will cry, I will cry.
Works every time. I read about this in a self help book quite a few years ago. Hope it helps!

Its better (if you can) to let yourself cry. Crying is way to relive stress and is very much needed to be healthy. While you may find yourself crying more than most people, its most likely your way of dealing with stress. It may decrease some as you change to different points in your life.
It's better to get yourself to a private place and let yourself cry.
However, if you feel must stop it. The best way to do it is to make yourself laugh. Laughful also releases emotion. So it will be the most likely to stop crying without bottleing emotion.
Since everybody's sense of humor is different it's hard to tell what would make you laugh. The easiest thing to do is to think of a silly memory or idea. Pick one out when you do not feel like crying. It will be easier to think of then. Then whenever to feel like crying think of that memory.

Well... I Just Silently Cry Until I fall Asleep. [uusuallyBy The End of The day, from drowning in Stress and What not, I find myself crying a bit lol] So yeah, also music, it helps me stop. =)

I wouldn't say this is foolproof, but here it goes:
Look up. Looking up helps keep tears in your eyes and prevents them from spilling down your face. Rub your eyes like normal to get rid of any excess tears.
