Never be a person who doesn't need help, there lies loneliness and "grumpy old so and so". A great aunt used to accept all the offered help she could get whether she needed it or not. That way she had visitors who kept an eye on her and people to gossip with as she couldn't get out much they all became friends. At her funeral were loads of people we didn't even know and they all had a tale to tell of their visits with the old lady.

To be good at helping people, because you will always be sought out for social opportunities.

For people not to need any kind of help, this can be good if those people are hermits. But these kinds can seek out other to help as well.

It would be wonderful if no one needed help, but unfortunately that's isn't true. So helping people is a great deed that will get you to Heaven. There is nothing in the world that thrills my heart like helping someone in need.

There can be no preference. In fact , there is no choice but to seek help and give help.

We are not alone in the world. Everything provided in the world, is meant to be shared... water , air, environment,food.... anything. It includes people. The very word , sharing, means give and take. . There are creations , like the trees , which give more than it takes from us. The cycle of water starts from taking.... from the ocean.... and giving it back .... as rain.

In my personal experience I would feel that giving ( helping) preceeds taking .

The Utopian solution would be for people not to need help.
unfortunately that isn't happening, so helping is they only thing
left to do.

To help people, of course. Below, for instance.

Your question needs to read; " What is preferable ", the " more " is superfluous.
