Something is really wrong with my internet. Everytime I turn it on, it works for about 2 minutes (really varies on different days) then the speed changes from 54.0 mbps to 1.0 mbps. Then I have to click repair over and over again. When I try to watch youtube videos, it goes off and it takes forever to work again. My internet is wireless network: linksys_SES_11482. Also my signal strength is always at Low and Very Low. Would appreciate it if someone helped me.

Jarrod: This is a home network.
It's just upstairs right above this room.
Not sure what you mean.
This has never happened until my cousin got off the computer from being on it all night.

It is possible your computer is too far away from the router. Other possiblity is that someone is using your wireless connection. Try moving closer to the router to see if that changes the strength of the connection.

If that doesn't work try changing the channel that the router is on. Even a cordless phone can feed off the wireless connection.

Also try unplugging everything waiting a minute and then plug it back in (Router first wait for lights Modem second wait for lights computer third). This sometimes resets everything and gives it a fresh start in a way

Worse case is you will need to phone linksys support to have them help you. They will be able to help make your wireless connection more secure to stop people from jacking your internet.

That signal strength will definitely effect your performance. Are you sure, also, that you're on your own wireless network and not someone else's? How far are you from your wireless router and how many walls does the signal have to penetrate? If you're at an angle from the router and have walls in-between, the angle puts more wall surface in the way also.

I agree with Bogus. First, check to make sure you're on the right wireless network. Your computer may be trying to log into one nearby. I doubt it though.

Is this a home network or a public one (like at a school)?
How far away is it?
What kind of network card do you have (and how old)?
Has it always been like this or is this problem new?
Try moving your computer closer to the router.

we favor to entice close what kind of provider you've (cable, DSL, satellite tv for pc ...) and what speed you *ought to* be getting, and what kind of connection you're employing, or you may ask your internet corporation to what's incorrect with it .
