Do you know your great-great grandparents names without looking them up? If you don't know their names, why do you think anyone might remember yours a few generations after you're dead? How much of an impact will your life REALLY have? Is your life TRULY important to anyone other than you and your immediate family and freinds?

Yes, I know there names. We have a family cemetary and church built by my greats and great-greats. I will be buried right along side them as will my children. It sounds morbid but in a way it is very comforting.

I know my life isnt all that important to anyone outside my little circle. But I'm kinda okay with that. I wouldnt want to be remembered.
I mean, think about all the movies about royalty or heroes that have been made. If, say, Marie Antoinnette were to watch the movie that just came out about her, do you think she would like the way things were portrayed? Or the Alexander the Great movie and all the contreversy that sprung up from that. If he knew about all the stuff surrounding that movie, don't you think he'd REALLY wish he could change his name?
I'm quite happy that no one is going to remember me after a few generations. That way no one with mess up my life by trying to make me something I'm not or twisting around the facts to show what they "think" was what I meant to say or do. Who knows, maybe my name'll be passed down to a great-great grandbaby... and that's enough for me.

Yeah, I'm in the Libraries, I'm in the Readers Guide to Periodical Literature, I'm listed in the ISSN directory. Some of my writing will survive on microfilm or electronic editions, as well as paper.

I know the name of one of my great-great grandfathers but for the sake of privacy, I'm not giving it out. Unless I do something spectacular, no one is going to remember me and I know that.
