If you are trying to print on clear labels, is it possible to print with a white font for the letters?

My father is trying to print clear labels to put on red model trucks. He wants the print to be white. Is this possible with a standard printer, or will it require a special printer?

I always advise people to write the addresses, no matter what their handwriting is like. That is not the point. The point is that you took the time to do it right. People will go on about how everyone else is using the printer these days, and how much easier it is for the post office (which I am NOT convinced of)... but call me old school or call me the envelope police, I think handwritten is the only way to go. That said, if you decide not to take that advice and go with labels, please consider this: No clear labels! Why people think these are better than regular labels is beyond me. I know, I know, theyre "clear" and they have "matte clear" even... but sorry, that looks so trashy. If you must print them, your first choice should be to print directly onto the envelope. This can be tricky depending on your printer and the envelope so if that is unsuccessful, your second choice would be a plain paper label. You can buy something that matches your envelopes at a scrapbooking store. There are some very whimsical ones with maps or botanical accents on the corners of the label. This way, it will look cute and add an element of love to the front of your envelope. In short, print them if you must, but please please no clear labels!! They are just sooo tacky. And just because they are clear... does NOT mean people cant see them.

It will take a special printer, as most printers don't have white ink. And you can't mix the colors to end up with white.

Best answer. No. Your printer (i'm guessing it's either a laser or a regular ink jet printer) does not have a "white" color. It works by mixing cyan, magenta, and yellow together (with the exception of black) to form your colors. You can't make white with any combination of those colors.

only way is to replace all your ink cartridges with white ink.if you can find a set of cartridges empty and find a white ink to refill with check at staple or office depot some places refill ink,check with them.other than that i can help,but that would work. WHITE INK???????
