I'm 40 weeks pregnant andI've been having severe chest pains for the past few days accompanied by extremely sharp contractions. My doctor tells me its nothing to worry about but I worry any ways.

Whats going on with me? Is it labor?

I'm tired of it, and yeah the one lady is right the answer I've pretty much gotten the answer of "don't worry pregnant lady."

They say you can barely walk through the contractions, what if they feel no worse than the period cramps I usually get.

I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow but these pains in my chest are so bad that I haven't been able to sleep for the past week.

I have these anymore and I'm going to go to a different hospital and just go to the emergency room.

Your doctor is treating you like some sort of a child if he won't tell you what that is... heck, can you page him and make him tell you what it is? I think that's rude "don't worry pregnant lady" and NO explanation.

Its what is preparing you for labor. I was in so much pain before I had my son for at least 2-3 weeks. Dont stress its normal.

If you have regular contractions every 5-10minutes, you should go to the hospital.
Normaly labour pains are so strong you can bearly walk.

might take some time....my boy came 10days after due date....

Take care...and congrats!
