Twinning occurs one of two ways: either a woman releases two eggs instead of the usual one or she produces only one egg that divides after fertilization. If she releases two eggs, which are fertilized by separate sperm, she has fraternal twins. When a single, fertilized egg divides and separates, she has identical or paternal twins. Fraternal twins are not identical. Bi-Paternal twins have different fathers. All Bi-Paternal twins are Fraternal twins, but not all Fraternal twins are Bi-Paternal twins.

Paternal twins are more often referred to as identical twins. They share the same egg in the womb and have the same DNA. Fraternal twins come from to different eggs fertilized at or near the same time, and are thus in the womb at the same time, and born at or near the same time. Bit they are no more identical than siblings would be who were not born at the same time.

Paternal twins?
It is either identical twins or fraternal twins. Identical, the egg split both babies have the same DNA, share a sack...Fraternal two eggs get fertilized separately, two different sacks and each separate DNA.
