I was told like awhile ago that you can not get pregnant when you are on your period. But in health class today we were talking bout pregnancy and stuff like that. And my health teacher said that you can get pregnant any time you have unprotected sex. Like I understand that and all. But can you get pregnant on your period??

Yes, its not the most common time most people get pregnant 10-14 days after their period but it is possible to get pregnant on your period or any time of the month.
Please stay safe use protection and or condoms your not only protecting yourself from preganancy but sexually transmitted infections.

you only have a 24 to 48 hour window in which you can get pregnant and that is during your ovulation time. i was told in school that no you can not get pregnant while you are on your period one because you are not ovulating anymore and two you no long have the egg in which the sperm needs to fertilize. but anything is possible i guess though rare.

Yes you can. It all depends on when you ovulate. Every woman is different. A friend of mine got pregnant while she was on her period.

Less likely than other times during your cycle, but yes, possible. The only time you are 'safe' is if you are on preventative measures - pill, patch, shots, diaphragm, and he uses a condom. If you can't keep it zipped, keep it covered!!

Statements like this are not just to scare teens, like another posting said. It can happen, especially in teens because they are not always physically mature, thus their bodies do odd things.
