Yes I agree and it is so sad...you miss a lot of things that you should be able to enjoy as a kid growing up too fast.

I hope that 10 isn't the new 15, i have an 8 year old and my hubby's been gone for a year, i really wouldn't want her to be a teenager when he gets back. Hes missed to much as it is.
But yes i do think this world is expecting our kids to grow up to fast, what happen to the 20 foot metal slides, and shoes on a gym floor. I think the world wants our kids to come out automatically having common sence without having to experence life

No, that's only a few kids who "grow up to fast", most children when their 10, act 10.
I see a lot of kids who are extremely tall for their age but that's not their fault.
If a child dresses much to old for his/her age, its the parents fault for letting their child get those clothes.
And its also the parents fault for letting the child leave the house with really heavy makeup.
And its the parents fault for letting a child watch a rated R movie. And its also the parents fault for letting their child listen to bad music.
So in my opinion its the parents letting their kids grow up to fast.

Children are advanced in some ways and far behind in others. It's not only growing up too fast but it's the details in that life.

I somewhat agree. I know a few teens who are growing up too fast, but not that many.

I do agree with it, and it is just the times we live in. My grandparents said the same thing of my parents generation, and my parents said the same of mine. I thought the same of my son's and his 4 year old talks and acts alot older than I think he should. We don't have to like it, but it is a fact of life that is generations old.

Definitely, my 9 year old has a crush already. I did not scold her or any thing. I just try to remind her of her real priorities. Last week she asked me what was marijuana. She said she heard it on T.V I try to remain supportive now show she won't turn away as she gets into her teens. She will come to me and tell me anything and I want it to stay that way forever.
