Isn't high school suppose to be the real deal? Where you're suppose to be more organized, mature, cleaner, and responsible?

And study our butts off? To prepare for college and S.A.T.'S?

If you attend public high school, I would say no. Maybe a tiny bit more math. Maybe 5 to 10 minutes of homework a day on some days. That's not much. I started working part-time at 15 so that took some maturity because I wanted to have money for clothes and going out (I wouldn't recommend that though because I was often tired for school b/c I worked late sometimes).

I did take a SAT prep course and would recommend that, because SAT scores are important I think, I think they look more at your SAT scores than your grade (because high schools vary in quality but SAT is the same everywhere). Well, I would try to have decent A/B grades which is not hard to do and a decent SAT score if you want to go to college; not that big a deal. You might want to join one or two high school organizations like I wound up doing (plus with some like sports you might be able to get scholarships, etc). It's supposed to look good to the colleges you apply to; you also make friends, and you're supposed to just enjoy high school. Have fun!

well there are two ways you can get through high school
1~ not study in ur first 2 years and then study ur butt off in last two year ( not recommanded seriously..i did that and i am no where near achieving my goals)
2~ work ur butt of all four years end up in an ivy league school then work ur butt 8 more years and then have a wonderful life....ur pick**

It depends on the school you go to and what classes you take. If you are at a competative high school of course your classes will be much harder. If you struggle in school and go to a public high school you can take an easier course load. Take some classes you are good at and really interested in to start out so that you can get into the swing of things. High school for me was conducted pretty differently than middle school.

I had very hard classes my Freshman year, I was skipped ahead in math and had the hardest English teacher at my school. She seemed like a ***** at the time but later I saw that she was being so hard on us so that we would start acting like young adults and do better in high school.

If you'd like to challenge yourself and/or if you plan to go to college you will want to take more challanging courses. Don't overload yourself but don't sit around accomplishing nothing. Colleges are looking for kids who got good grades, took challanging (AP, CP, skipped levels, prob take physics or chemistry and languages and math all four years) courses, and who were involved in their community. Play sports or join any clubs you are interested in because they will help you stay on track and will look good on your applications.

But don't freak out. I'm a living example of someone who messed up a lot in high school but was able to prove that I could do better and made up for it. You have to be driven.

Freshman year is like easy
Then sophomore is ok
Junior now that's a tough year
Senior make sure you still work hard don't slack off just because its senior year you can still get held back and that would suck
