Formal training is not required for such an occupation. However, if you want to learn how to install automobile parts and amenities, there are numerous technical schools you can attend to learn those skills. Age is not essential; however, it helps to be an adult.

The bottom line is that you have to personally know an auto shop owner and prove to him/her that you can install automobile parts. If s/he knows your skills and likes you, then you'll get hired.
