Absolutely! Reading lets you travel to far away lands, beneath the ocean blue and deep into the furthest reachest of our galaxies. Reading also broadens our horizons and to some degree shapes who we are.

I believe reading to be the greatest of pastimes. Almost onyone can read or learn to read. Books and other reading materials are available free at libraries, so you dont need money to take up reading. There is no end to the subjects you can explore. And for variety there is fiction, nonfiction, biography, science fiction, mystery, suspence, new works, old works, new authers, old authers, childrens books , adults only books, how to books, cook books--you could not exhause the availability of reading material..The old sayiong is "so many books,so liottle time. Learn to read if you don't know how to already. Teach your kids to read--teach ALL of our kids to read. There is one place where you will find the largest number of non-readers, and that is prision.

I love reading, especially the classics like Edith Wharton and Jane Austen. Another favorite is Pearl S. Buck.
Do yourself a favor and read "The House of Mirth", by Wharton, and "Emma", by Austen.
You won't be disappointed.

Reading is the way to knowledge and knowledge is power and intellectual superiority. Its also a great pleasure, and great company.

You are what you know.

I believe that liking to read is genetic.
My grandfather was a great reader, so were 3 of his 6 sons, one of them my father.
Of my father´s three sons, two are avid readers, my brother and I.
