(It's about a wife waiting for her husband to come back from war tho it speaks nothing of war)

'Till Then
As the form of light is turned to darkness
I lay still in hopes of freedom
I wish to be among the free world
With the life that used to be
But I know this will not soon happen to me
But still I pray for the day that this life, dream, and love speaks my name
'Till then I watch as the bright yellow sun falls into the night
And the nightly sky brings fort a full moon, that shines on my hopes
'Till then I live and pray for this life and love to return me to his arms as the days go on

I sounds pretty darn good to me.

Poetry now a days doesn't always rhyme, it is called free verse. This is a good sample of that.

And James C, God bless you and please return safely. Love, Juanita

The point is that you like it.... does not matter if others do... this is your self expression. However, on a critical note... you should check into poetry structure and poetry form.

But it your expression and that is what counts.

No, I don't like it, because I wouldn't wait for my husband to come back, I would let everyone hit it.

I'd keep it open like a 24-hour fastfood joint.
