1) I doubt that you really got hacked. I think you let your password slip, whether on accident or purporedly.

2) I have never seen a beggar actually get anything. Even if a beggar would get anything, they'd have to either ask a really nice, rich user, or ask for a very cheap item.

3) Almost all the people on my friends list are considered "poor" (I mean 10k or less). As a player mod, I also have below average wealth. If you want to get rich, or at least as much as you need, just skill or merchant. Begging will never get you more things than skilling or merchanting.
