2 of my close friends and I came up with a SR quote for the yearbook from the movie Goodfellas. "how come the good old days arent so good when youre actually livin em?"
Basically, live life, have fun. Study hard. Play sports. Dont get caught up in partying and drama. I let my self get enough into it and it took away alot. I watched those that I used to defeat in sports keep trying while I partied. Some of them got scholarships, I got kicked off the teams. Stay true to yourself. Study as hard as you can. The classes arent that hard when you look back on them. Its not a bad thing to listen to the teacher and ask questions.

High school sucked hairy pig balls. I was the only black kid in a class of 400. On Cape Cod. In the 80's. I went to an historically black university in the south. College was WAY better than high school. Now that I'm in my 30's, I have absolutely NO regrets about NOT keeping in touch with anyone I ever went to high school with.

High school is violent now because,
I go to Franklin high school in Livonia, MI and there was a giant fight in the beginning of school i saw the whole thing.

when i walked into the building the fight started, this one kid started to punch this other kid in the back of the head and then the kid who was attacking the one kid slammed his head into a pole and then picked him up OVER his head and threw him down to the ground. the kid then started to bleed a lot and he also had a seizure.they had to airlift him from the football feild to the hospital.
so yea high school is violent nowadays.
It was all over the news.

when I was growing up my family didn't have a lot of money. I was looked down upon by a lot of kids I went to school with. They thought they were better because they had money, lived in nice houses and had good clothes. Well I didn't have those kinds of things.

highschool was a popularity contest and i didnt care about it. i was very neutral. i wasnt the coolest kid but i wasnt lame or geeky. I dont miss it one bit. I go back to pick up things fromt the school (documents) and I look at the girls and WOW the girls get sluttier and sluttier. they look like they are trying to age way too quick. Poor teenage boys, their hormones are raging. oh and...my ups-i met my husband, sports : ) downs-boy troubles, girls w/attitudes, slept through class

the ups are that there are soo many things going on like the parties and the different clubs and activities and of course my group of friends and the new people you meet..i say the down is the drama..especially with girls..they start **** for no reason and everybody talks about just about everybody behind their back..its like people try to give off this hardcore image of "Yea I'm Me..and i can say whatever i want" but yet, its not said to your face and its all soo lame..but hey theres ups and downs for everything i gues...:/

I went to an all girls highschool
It was ok when I was with friends, but I lived out of town and was bussed in so it was difficult to establish lasting memories.
Overall I'd say it was ok, I passed and went to college.

Today matters more to me than any of those years put together!
Blessings

high school sucked. Popularity was based purely on slutiness. 22 years later, don't miss it. College rocked, much more fun and more development as a person.
