Playstation2 has come down a lot in price and theire games are still sold. Also Nintendo Game Cube is very affordable and last I saw at Walmart they were still selling their games.

If you're not particularly interested in any new releases the original Playstations are really cheap. Then head to your local GameStop/Electronics Boutique and pick up all the games you want for under $10 ea. (used). If you want a system that will have new games still coming out for it I'd look at the PS2 or the original Xbox. Keep in mind, however, that these are going to slowly lose support over the next couple of years due to the next generation systems.

PS2 isn't too expensive, and it's bound to get cheaper with PS3 out and all. You can find games online for pretty much any console. I bought Atari games recently!!

Playstation 2 is like 128 and they have TONNES of games and are still making them, but a next-gen Wii is like 270

PS 2, and Game Cube. You can also buy portable sistems like Game boy, PSP etc. You can download for free emulators of super nintendo and hundreads of free games

the wii is the cheapest out of the ps3 and 360
