I work in an unusually high-stressed call center (due to a faulty website on the company's part) but still manage to take about twice as many calls per day as the next highest person. Unfortunately, neither my boss nor my supervisor try to include me in recent news or events (eg. bonus incentives, additional work loads, training new employees, handling calls from 'elite' agents) and just recently I observed a loud/flamboyant co-worker get promoted to the newly created position of 'senior cust. serv rep'. I perceive the reason is others don't take me as sociable but that's just because when I started I was under great anxiety which often makes me withdraw into my work. The point is I've changed and the anxiety has tapered off but it seems the damage has been done. I've already told my supervisor not to hesitate to delegate more responsibilites off to me but it is not working. It seems only the 'chatty' people who over-socialize get the most recognition or whatever. What can I do?
